Smart Customer Communications

The recent economic situation many face today reminds us how very important it is for consumers to be educated financially. Buying a car or home, choosing a credit card, and saving for education or retirement require smart financial planning and solid financial decisions. Many consumers today, especially young people, do not know how to balance a checkbook or create a budget.

Modules contained in the Consumer Education program are grouped into topics on Consumer Protection, Credit & Loans, Financial ABCs, Plan for the Future, Youth Education, and En EspaƱol. Most recently added are modules relative to current housing issues like Mortgage Financing, Foreclosure and HARP. See the full module list to the left. There is also a section with financial calculators to help with budgeting and planning.

Providing Consumer Education to your customers benefits your financial institution. It communicates to your customers that you care about the communities you serve by improving financial literacy and consumer awareness. Front-line employees at your financial institution can refer customers to free information on a variety of topics, adding value to the customer experience and increasing cross-sell possibilities for other products.
