Harland is pleased to announce the release of updated University content on Friday, January 18, 2008. With the recent changes to the FACT Act , it has become necessary to update our current Loan Officer and Mortgage Loan Officer Training Programs with important information about the FACT Act . In both of these programs, specific information is given about how the FACT Act affects consumer and mortgage lending at financial institutions. Additionally, there is a direct link to the FACT Act course on the University providing more detailed information about the Act.
The course additions will be available after 4 pm Pacific Standard Time on Friday, January 18. The addition will not affect any other areas of the university except as noted above.

Harland is pleased to announce the release of new University content on Friday, January 18, 2008. NEW! REG 133 - The Junk Fax Prevention Act The Junk Fax Prevention Act, or the JFPA, was passed into legislation on July 9, 2005. The JFPA amends the Communications Act of 1934 and alters some previous amendments made by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 and the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 as they relate to the issue of using a fax machine to solicit consumers. In this course, we will discuss the regulations within this law in the following lessons:
• Overview of the Junk Fax Prevention Act. This lesson provides an overview of the Junk Fax Prevention Act and how it relates to your financial institution.
• Functional Application of the Junk Fax Prevention Act. In this lesson, we will ask you to review five scenarios covering various aspects of the Junk Fax Prevention Act and make your best judgment in each case.
The new course will be available after 4 pm Pacific Standard Time on Friday, January 18. The addition will not affect any other areas of the university.
